Hy-Vee only doubles to .55c so the Dole one will not work!!

Each HyVee store doubles differently. The store i shop will double any amount. So, if i use the $.75 coupon they will also take $.55 off. Each manager of the stores will set the rules differently.

If each store is different, why does the coupon, which is for all the stores, only say .55?

Yes, i know what the coupon states and yes i do play by the rules. It is always up to the manager of the store of how they want to do doubles. When i went to HyVee on 50th & Center and the one on 35th & L they would only double the coupons up to $1, like the coupon the coupon states. However when i went to the store at Shadowlake and Stonybrook locations they would just take the $5.50 off your total order. I even spoke to the managers at the stores and asked them why they do it differently. I was told the same thing at both locations. Different stores different managers. This is why i would never bother with doubles before because they were not worth it, but when these 2 other stores do it differently it makes it worth it.

I didn't mean to infer you weren't playing by the rules, sorry if you thought that. Just curious, did you ask before you shopped, or just handed over the larger coupons and found out that they gave you the extra discount. I usually shop at 132 & Dodge or 108th @ Fort. I might try that next time and see what happens. Last night I went to 78th & Cass HyVee and some of the items were SO EXPENSIVE at their regular price that I didn't even use all my coupons. They wanted $4.77 for a box of Golden Grahams, holy cow!

When i shopped i had 11 Webber Seasoning Coupons, 1 Joy Cones Printable Coupon, 1 pillsbury brownie printable coupon. The cashier was stumped on what to do so i said you should only double the printable coupons. She didn't think that was right so she called the manager over. I then explained the same thing and he said no at this store they do it differently. So he was going to pay me the $5.50 back, and i told him NO because i never want cash back i would prefer to just add items to my order. He was surprised that i said that because he said a lot of people expect the cash back. I then said i am not like those other people and i try to keep my store happy when i shop. HyVee does not like to give overage back but they will. So that's how i found out about it.
