Dollar General Only Deal: Libby's canned products deal = Pain In The Butt

So i went to Dollar General tonight, Not my favorite store. If you know me or follow my blog you will see that i only shop there 1x every 3-4 months. Only when i MUST and can not price match the product on sale anywhere else.

Libby's Canned Veggies $.45 each
Buy 3 = $1.35
-$1/1 Printable Coupon
Pay $.35 cents

Here is where the deal goes wrong. If you buy 6 and use a second coupon. The register will not scan the coupon, says product does not match.

Cashier tells meanager the product does match but will not scan.
Meanager on phone says: We can not accept it

I tell the cashier nicely that i do not want these items then and will only purchase 3 and use 1 coupon.

Cashier says: no problem i understand, calls meanager back.
Meanager says something but cashier says no word.
My Guess is : She want is voided right ?

Meanager comes over in a bad mood. I ask... why will you not accept my coupon. He yells at me, the register will not take it and i can not over ride it.
Me: Ok, that is fine but i know your coupon policy and have it right here with me would you like to see it ?
Meanager: Ignores me

I ask: Why is i have no problem at any other store when using more than 1 coupon of the same kind ?
Meanager: You can go to the other Dollar General down the road and it will do the same.
I said ok, BUT why does this not do it at other stores other than Dollar General ?
Meanager walks away.... comes back and says well they are on sale that is why she can not use the coupons.
I said: Ok, i am just going to buy 3 and walk out after i pay for my 3

I was fed up with the stupid meanager. If your wondering which store this was.....

So i out smarted them. I had my hubby go in and buy 3 more and use 1 coupon. What do you know, no problems.

I do a transaction, no problems.

Hubby goes and does a transaction, We Have a problem.
Cashier: Does not scan anything, immediatly tells meanager that this is a fraud coupon. She says it's just like the last coupon that came through, all the water marks and all the writing is the same. UM, YES except for the PINS mention on the coupon.
Hubby: You can print these from Coupons.com, they are legit.
Meanger: We will do it this time but that is it.

SHEESH, what a night from H E DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS. So if your doing the deal you may want to think twice about it. At the bottom of my receipt it says:
Save time and Save Money every day at Dollar General.
OK, how do you figure this after this bull tonight ? Thanks Dollar General for reminding me of why i hate your store and do not shop there. Sorry for the long post but thought i would warn others in case you try to do the deal. If your thinking you can price match this to Walmart, think again. I tried to do that first but Walmart did not carry this product.
