This has been a some what no shopping week for
me this week. I'm flat broke since i had to get an
alignment & tire last week. Things like that happen
and when they do , well they hurt budget.
So i have only spent $15.37 this week. I will deduct it from
the budget soon, i have a bunch of updating i need to get
done from previous shopping.
So what have we done this week ? Stayed home, watched tv,
played outside, cooked and cooked some more.
Our menu this past week has been very basic,
and very cheap. I'm not deducting the prices
from the budget because they have already been
deducted. I was just including prices so you could
get an idea of what was paid.
Sun ~ Hamburgers & hotdogs $3.32
Mon ~ Tacos $2.72
Tue ~ Spaghetti $.89
Wed ~ Eggs & Biscuits $1.18
Thur~ Taco Bake $3.97
Fri ~ Something w/ chicken
This is a site to show you how to cut your budget and maximize your savings by using coupons. Some say a 50¢ coupon is hardly worth cutting. I'll make you change your mind about that coupon.

Isn't it funny that when we tighten the spending, we cook!? We've had many days like this, and are a stronger family for them. {hugs}
I know, i wonder why we do that ? Is it because we find comfort in it ? Hmm not sure why.
What also is funny is we had more dessert items in our pantry than real meals. It wasn't funny though when i was wondering what we were going to eat for dinner.
I think it may be because when the money is out of our control, at least the food is still in our control. Many times we've had breakfast for dinner. And, hey -- dessert for dinner works, too! You'll win buckets of Mom points, but I wouldn't suggest it as a daily routine. ;)
btw, kraftrecipes.com has a neat feature where you type in what you have and they suggest meals. Helpful sometimes.
We like to eat breakfast here for dinner. Usually just french toast or pancakes and sausage. Thanks for the info on Krafts site. I forgot about that.
