A Cheap Healthier Version Of Spaghetti


Well a while back i was watching the Dr. Oz show, occasionally i will watch it if something catches my eye. On this show they had Fake Spaghetti. They showed you how to take a squash and make spaghetti out of it, in place of the spaghetti noodles.

This would be a good time to take advantage of this recipe since Super Saver has this squash on sale for $.49lb. There recipe is below....

Directions
Pierce squash with a fork as you would a potato. Microwave for 12 minutes on high, or bake at 350°F for 35-45 minutes. Set to cool. Cut in half and scoop out the seeds. Use fork to loosen the squash to create noodles. Top with your favorite spaghetti sauce and ground turkey for a lower fat healthier version of Spaghetti.
