Meijers = Not that good

Yesterday i wondered down to Meijers and thought i might find a few deals. Nope, nothing anywhere. So, i gave up and went back to Krogers. Of course i found some more bargains at Krogers.

Today we are going to hang out at my mom's pool and then later i might wonder to my old home town. I am sad to say we only have 2 more days left in Ohio. Thinking about leaving makes me want to just cry, but thinking about staying also makes me want to cry. Everything changes and nothing stays the same. Wish we all could stay kids forever.

Found A Great Gas Deal Out Here

So out here they have a Krogers store and you can use your krogers card at a shell gas station and get a discount off. We have the same thing at home BUT it is better here because she had over 400 points we got $.40 off a gallon. At home the highest they ever gave me was $.20 off a gallon no matter how high my points were. Gas will not come out of this budget because it is a different budget.

Took my mom shopping Sat. We had a few freebies we found. We bought Free Yahkisoba, Free Simply Juice, Free Pepperoni Stix and other items. We spent $21.96 and saved $47.29

I owe mom half of this bill so only $10.98 will come out of my budget.

I don't know if this is a regional deal, but if your headed to Walmart look and see if you have this deal. We bought 2 packs for a cheap dinner tomorrow night.

How To Keep Kids Busy On A Road Trip, while sticking to a budget ?

So we have a 14 hour drive scheduled before us, and well i know the kids are going to get bored before too long. So how do you prevent the dreaded words of.... Mom are we there yet ? Mom, i am bored ?

Some of the things we are going to do along the way are:

Read books, i know your not suppose to read while in the car but i think this one time will be ok.

Color with Color Wonder items

Play Games

Watch Movies

And stop occasionally and let the kids get some of the energy out by playing on playgrounds at rest areas. Of course weather permitting.
